WEEK3

So today we were supposed to bring the 8 to 10 sketches of our narrative that we had made for showing passage of time. But I was struggling to form a narrative but I had an idea in mind of relating train with this concept.

I took train as a journey through the time of our lives and constructed a narrative. Like from the beginning of my journey from the start of the station and the end after getting down from the train.

I tried to make some sketches for my narrative and also I used colours to show various emotions of the journey. Here are the thumbnails:

WEEK5

So we were supposed to bring a survey of three families regarding our own group topics. And then we had to take a overall result of all 12 families as a team. After that ma’am asked us to take a survey of 6 people in the college itself.

So all of the teams formed about 8 to 10 questions and went on to do the survey. After we all were back, one by one all the groups asked all the questions related to their survey topics and then all the others had to write down the answers in a paper and give it to that group.

This way all of us were done with the question and answer round by the end of our class.

My groups topic was “Dairy Industry” and the questions that we formed were:

  1. WHAT ALL KINDS OF DAIRY PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?
  2. HOW MUCH CONSUMPTION?(DAY/MONTH)
  3. WHERE DOES IT COME FROM?
  4. DO YOU CHECK THE EXPIRY DATE BEFORE BUYING THE PRODUCT?
  5. HAVE YOU EVER TAKEN MILK FROM A MILKMAN?
  6. IF YES, THEN DO YOU FIND AMNY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE MILK FROM THE MILKMAN AND STORE PRODUCTS?
  7. WHAT WOULD TOU PREFER?(BRAND/QUALITY)
  8. WHAT KIND OF MILK AND CHEESE DO YOU PREFER?(COW/BUFFALO)(SLICE/CUBE)

WEEK4

In the last class sir had asked us to try and bring a 5 digitalized layout of our own.

This is what I tried to make:

After this sir asked us to make more four different types of layouts which is text and image heavy and get it in the next class.

Also sir had got us some comic books which he asked us to see and take inspiration and make one comic of our own and we started working on that.

Next he asked us to make a 6page spread which consists of a mythology creature of any god or goddess of our choice with proper content and images with whatever layout that we wanted of our own.

Well we had a lot of work for the next week but I also felt that it was going to really interesting.

WEEK3

So today sir had asked us to bring text heavy books, and gateway sheets. Once we begin with the class sir asked us to trace some layouts from the book that we had brought that we found interesting. It could have been the starting page or the contents, etc.

Some of us had brought novels, magazines, etc. So I first traced on out of the novel that I got and then one I took from the magazine.

I got to know about how different books have different layouts according to its theme or the type it is like novel or magazine. This is what I traced:

WEEK3

So we started reading the book “Invisible Cities” by “Italo Calvino”. There are short stories about the fantastic cities described by the venetian explorer “Marco Polo” and is having a loose conversation with emperor “Kublai Khan”.

Ma’am asked us to read the first paragraph of the book.

WEEK4

So today our class started with a fun game called doctor, doctor help us. Ma’am was able to set us all free in the first game and then we all played 3 rounds of this game, it was really fun and then we came back to our groups for the project as we had to make a presentation on our topics.

Also today we were supposed to bring our upcycled product out of a unsustainable thing. Ma’am one by one saw our products. I had made a bird feeder out of plastic bottle. This is how it looks:

 

 

 

 

After this we all presented on our respective topics one by one and then all the others had to grade us accordingly. Lecture came to an end after everyone was done with their presentations.

WEEK2

So today we were going to start learning about new software called InDesign. Sir explained us about all the tools and how this is useful for us. It can be used to make a lot of things like advertising, pamphlet, poster, etc.

So sir asked us to make anything that we wish out of these things. Sir also showed us an example of how it can be made.

WEEK1

So today was our first class of imaging for second semester. And we knew that things were going to get more complicated and interesting with new softwares and new assignments.

So our very first assignment was to copy the poster that was on the screen given to us by sir. We had to apply all the methods that we learnt in the last sem.

So we started making the poster and whenever faced with a difficulty sir helped me out. Everyone’s most of the poster was done by the end of the class. This is what I made:

WEEK2

So today we had a group exercise on the essay that we had written about our personal spaces. We were divided into groups of four and we had to read our essays to other group members for the further exercise. We had to make many circles on the paper and the had to draw quickly in few seconds what we thought about other teammates essays. Like whatever came to our mind first after we saw the essay.

Like I had written about my personal being my moments and memories in life and not my room other teammates had written about their room and all memories created In their room. And so we got to know about each others childhood and the kind of spaces that we all live in.

So we had to write about our personal space. What does a personal space mean, is it just confined to a room or something else. Something that is close to us, something that makes us feel comfortable, something that makes us feel loved. I feel all this includes personal space.
