WEEK10

So today we got our modules for the students and what age group we had chosen for our topic. Our group had chosen children from age 8 to 12yrs. And we had made module for each class that is 5th, 6th, 7th. All the groups explained their module and which organizations they had chosen and why.

We had taken an NGO, a orphanage and a municipal school . And in the next class we had to give a proper presentation and the one final organization that we were going to choose with proper module.

So today we had our review and we started to set up our display with all that we had done till the date and all the case studies that we did and also the solutions to how can we solve the problems.

So we were all ready and one by one all the groups gave their presentation and proposed their solution according to their topics. We all individually also had to give marks to the groups. And I thought everything was pretty interesting on how the groups thought about a solution about the problems they found through the case study.

So today ma’am gave us our brief for the next project. Our teams remained the same. But for some of the groups topics changed but others just slightly different because the project was about teaching kids. We had to give 3 presentations on th e topic that we got to the kids from any one : NGO, Muncipal schools, a proper school, Orphanages, Old age homes, etc. We also had to decide a particular age group.

So our previous topic was ‘Dairy Industry’, and because it was a heavy topic for kids to understand our topic was changed to ‘Air pollution’. So we had to create a module for the kids and bring it in the next class and also list down three or the organizations that we thought as a group to go and give the presentation to.

WEEK5

So today we had to do a presentation on our given topics to the respective groups. We all presented and then other group members had to grade us and vice-versa. It was a really fun class because of the way everyone presented their work.

Also we had to do an a survey regarding our topic in the college itself and then come back and do an class survey too. It was a great start towards the project. We started to know things better as a group.

WEEK4

So today our class started with a fun game called doctor, doctor help us. Ma’am was able to set us all free in the first game and then we all played 3 rounds of this game, it was really fun and then we came back to our groups for the project as we had to make a presentation on our topics.

Also today we were supposed to bring our upcycled product out of a unsustainable thing. Ma’am one by one saw our products. I had made a bird feeder out of plastic bottle. This is how it looks:

 

 

 

 

After this we all presented on our respective topics one by one and then all the others had to grade us accordingly. Lecture came to an end after everyone was done with their presentations.

WEEK3

Today ma’am could not come so we were combined with other section and today Siddhant Sir took our lecture.

Sir divided us into groups of four for this subject and the project that we were going to work on as a group. After sir divided us into groups sir gave us the topic. My group got the “Dairy Industry”. 

My other two members of the group weren’t present so me and my other teammate, we took all the important information that we needed to find that sir asked us to make a presentation about in that class.

We took out main topics about the project like the history, the need , the problems, the solutions about out topic.

Then once we wrote the mains things down in the book we made a presentation in the laptop and showed it to sir. He liked it and told us the what else we need to add to it and show it to our ma’am once its done in the next class.

So today we made like a small chart on the topic that we discussed in the last class about the day to day things that we do and then divide or categorize them into sustainable and unsustainable. So this is what I made:

After making these ma’am asked us to write what we can change in the unsustainable things that can make it sustainable. Then we had to write down some of the activities and what was its approach and then its implication.

After that ma’am asked us to make one such model of a unsustainable thing that can make it more sustainable or useful and bring it in the next class.

WEEK1

So today was the very first day of our second semester. “Sustainable systems” as the name suggests most of us thought it was related to EVS.

So ma’am started of with asking us what we think is sustainability, and the took a small test it was more like tick the correct answer and no one of us 10 out of 10.

Then ma’am asked us to write down our daily routine or activities and then asked us to divide those activities into sustainable and unsustainable.
