SUSTAINABILITY SYSTEM

17thJanuary2019

WEEK3

Today ma’am could not come so we were combined with other section and today Siddhant Sir took our lecture.

Sir divided us into groups of four for this subject and the project that we were going to work on as a group. After sir divided us into groups sir gave us the topic. My group got the “Dairy Industry”.

My other two members of the group weren’t present so me and my other teammate, we took all the important information that we needed to find that sir asked us to make a presentation about in that class.

We took out main topics about the project like the history, the need , the problems, the solutions about out topic.

Then once we wrote the mains things down in the book we made a presentation in the laptop and showed it to sir. He liked it and told us the what else we need to add to it and show it to our ma’am once its done in the next class.

SUSTAINABILITY SYSTEM

10thJanuary2019

WEEK2

So today we made like a small chart on the topic that we discussed in the last class about the day to day things that we do and then divide or categorize them into sustainable and unsustainable. So this is what I made:

08e52555-51d8-4cd1-b4dd-887163a59b73

After making these ma’am asked us to write what we can change in the unsustainable things that can make it sustainable. Then we had to write down some of the activities and what was its approach and then its implication.

Like I wrote about these activities:

20bc2ae1-3080-4974-9455-596a7735b7e2

After that ma’am asked us to make one such model of a unsustainable thing that can make it more sustainable or useful and bring it in the next class.

SUSTAINABILITY SYSTEM

3rdJanuary2019

WEEK1

So today was the very first day of our second semester. “Sustainable systems” as the name suggests most of us thought it was related to EVS.

So ma’am started of with asking us what we think is sustainability, and the took a small test it was more like tick the correct answer and no one of us 10 out of 10.

Then ma’am asked us to write down our daily routine or activities and then asked us to divide those activities into sustainable and unsustainable.

TIME

14thJanuary2019

WEEK2

So ma’am revised what we did in the last class because few of my classmates were absent. But today there was a totally different discussion about time.

Today there were two aspects:

Physical

  • Can be measured
  • Can be visual change
  • Season
  • Change can be measure of time

Metaphoric

  • Subjective
  • Can be abstract
  • –” stitch in time saves nine”
  • –“In the winter of my life”
  • –“Early bird gets the worm”
  • Nostalgia-diving into past

But;

  • Time is always moving
  • Technically not physical
  • Human construct(like; Monday, Tuesday)
  • Time can also be an illusion

After this discussion ma’am asked us to tell her some of the moments in time and work on that and make a narrative out of it and convert it into thumbnails and bring in the next class.

TIME

7thJanuary2019

WEEK1

So we had this subject for the first time and I was wondering what exactly would it be would it the time I been thinking in my life since the very beginning or was it something really different.

So lecture started with ma’am asking us what we think is time or what is its features.

These were the answers we all came up with:

  • Personified it stops
  • It’s a race you’ll never win
  • Worst enemy/Best friend
  • Its important
  • It slows when you wait
  • Has a past
  • Change
  • continuous
  • Cyclic in nature
  • Inevitable
  • Periodic
  • Crucial parameter
  • Measurement
  • Infinite
  • Constant
  • Relative
  • Existence of something
  • A reference point
  • Is going on
  • Period of events
  • Infinite

And we had a brief discussion on these topics and what all can consist in time. Ma’am also asked us to watch some movies like; inception, interstellar. matrix, that is related with all that we discussed in time.

Design Drawing

31st August 2018

WEEK6

Today we had class on perspectives which is a very important topic in drawing. Perspective Drawing is a technique used by artists and designers to represent three-dimensional images on a two-dimensional picture plane.

There are three types of perspective in drawing; one point perspective, two point perspective, and three point perspective, a bird’s eye view, and a worm’s eye view.

So we had to do perspective drawing today and draw buildings and other surroundings around us in any type of the perspective.

Integrative Seminar -1

28th August 2018

WEEK5

So we finally were at the end of metamorphosis. The family was not much sympathetic towards Gregor during his condition and quicky moved on with their lives after his death. There are also some parts in the end that are not clear. This story was about identity. One’s identity is defined by;

  • Physical form
  • Manner
  • Childhood
  • Experience
  • Ideas
  • Enviornment
  • Emotions
  • Desires

Integrative Seminar

21st August 2018

WEEK4

It is a mental disorder characterized by the obsessive idea that some aspect of one’s own body part or appearance is severely flawed and warrants exceptional measures to hide or fix their dysmorphic part on their person.

So today we started the class with the discussion of the first 2 chapters of “Metamorphosis y Franz Kafka”.

  • Chapter1: Shock, work life, his state of mind
  • Chapter2: Fear, adjustments, burden, disbelief, personal life, body.

Reaction of his family members-

  • Father: Anger, Violence
  • Mother: Passive
  • Sister: Care, Sympathetic, Disgust

This was all about body dysmorphia. It is a mental disorder characterized by the obsessive idea that some aspect of one’s own body part or appearance is severely flawed and warrants exceptional measures to hide or fix their dysmorphic part on their person.

Gregor suffered from body dysmorphia because his body changed into a insect.

Space And Materiality

27th August 2018

WEEK5

So today we had our review and because it was first review I was really nervous but it was pretty good. Today we had to bring hand gestures that we had to convert into abstract form. And Sir selected 2 of them for each one of us and then it was time for us to make it in workshop.

So Sir asked us to think of what materials we wanted to use and how to make the hand gestures. And we started to work on our prototypes. So my first gesture was holding a cup so I used clay to make my prototype and I completed it and moved towards my next prototype that was holding a book.

So, Sir asked to make at least 3 prototypes 2types of different materials for one gesture and one of another gesture in the next class.
